Working on Freelance projects has given me valuable experience in dealing with briefs, deadlines and client communication. As I have to manage my time around my day job, learning to keep the client informed of my progress has been essential so as not to waste time exploring a concept they don't like. They have also given me opportunity to push my skill set and develop new ones as I work through the briefs.
As part of the Summer 2018 activity around The Now Gallery in Greenwich, I was asked by a contact of mine to provide the artwork needed for her project. The brief involved designing the assets and formatting the final designs for large print.
I was awarded this project just over a year ago after submitting an inital proposal to the brief. The project involved a full re-branding for a charity organisation including logo, stationery and website.
I started designing wedding invitations when a family member asked me to make theirs a couple of years ago. This had lead to me working on a number of different events, producing invites, table plans and save the dates.
